About The Foundation For Excellence

Share our Vision - Enhance Your Child's Future

Walled Lake Schools provides outstanding education for our young people and enrichment for all ages. The district constantly moves forward in the search for ways to increase opportunities for students.

The Foundation for Excellence is dedicated to advancing ways for children to learn. The continued high quality of our schools depends on increased financial support. Since 1991, and with many thousands of dollars, the Foundation for Excellence has subsidized a variety of activities and programs in our schools which are not funded by tax dollars.

The Foundation for Excellence is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All gifts are tax deductible as charitable contributions to the full extent of the law.

The Foundation for Excellence works hand in hand with remarkable teachers, supportive families, generous business leaders and TLC!

The first annual Reading in the Park literacy event drew a crowd of more than 250 people!  Over 1,000 books were distributed by the Lakes Area Optimist Club to participants young and old!  Our very own "story" was written by the FFE with collaboration by 48 outstanding students in the WLCS district.   To view the entire story...click on the link below:

Many thanks to all who helped make this event such a success!  Our authors, the district Media Specialists, Panera Bread, the Commerce and Wixom libraries and our FFE Board members pulled out all of the stops to ensure that everyone had a great time!

"Art in Everyone"
Walled Lake Schools K-12 Art Exhibit
May 27-30, 2008

The Foundation for Excellence is once again proud to sponsor our district-wide art exhibit showcasing the amazing talents of our kindergarten through 12th grade students.

Through our mini-grant process, the Foundation awarded funds to assist our dedicated art teachers in bringing this wonderful event to Walled Lake. New to the exhibit this year, individuals, businesses, PTSA groups, along with the Foundation for Excellence, were able to show their support and sponsor their own "art board".

Congratulations to all of our student artists! Keep up the good work!
